You know some people are chronic spoilt spots. Why do you want to break up an ongoing party that has survived for several days?

I should supply more fruit and if they order some veg, supply that as well. The little terrors will go and get their mates to come and join in. Pretty soon you will have all the neoghbourhood flies will be in your place, including their babies. Then tell the lady next do to you that you have an inversion of little near microscopic bats but you do not mind them at all. She will call the fumigator guy from the council. They will do two things. They will clear the frit and veg for you and they will kill all the flies for you.

No disrespect , but Fruit flies infest a dirty sink...and any fruit plants you may have ... ( Check the sink first .... i bet it smells )... its the No.1 place for them to breed due to old food deposits.

Try Jays Fluid every day's for 3 days on all Food Prep surfaces.. and sink / bath / hand basin / loo..plus remove all plants from the area..

Dilute 3 to 1 ( 3 jays 1 water )

get rid of what they are eating. any rotting fruits or sweet stuff and empty your garbage out. Wash everything you buy at the grocery as soon as you get it home because they lay eggs on it in the stores. But most important is to remove their food supply. If you have pets put them on a feeding schedule and remove uneaten food after they are fed. Pets do not need 24 hour feeding, and it is unhealthy for them..

They are there for a reason. Sounds like you need to clean.
I used to have a bunch from leaving old half drank screwdrivers about. Just remove and any juice, fruit or anything rotten, and they should move on.

I had the same problem yesterday. I located the culprit....a banana peal in my trashcan. I threw out the banana peal outside, closed all the windows, then spray bug spray (for the house) and left to go shopping. Came back 4 hours later, opened all the windows and blackflies are gone.
