What better reason do we need besides terrorism? As a conservative, I wonder how the Democrats, Liberals, and far left-winged Republicans are still trying to find another reason.

Have they been under a rock all these years or what? Iraq, Iran, Saudi, Afghanistan, and several other Middle Eastern countries are hotbeds for terrorism and training camps for these terrorists. Is this not reason enough???? Even if WMD were not found; HOWEVER, they were found some 500 of them; the reason is quite simple.....a dictator was disposed of, and a people were liberated....is not what the US does??? The bulk of this country, I feel does not understand the importance of doing this....and it sure is not for the OIL....I am so tired of hearing about that reason that is pure BS. They also do not realize that it has taken over 200 years to get to where we are today as a democracy....Iraq will not be a democracy over night.....Remember freedom is not free and the lives of those brave men and women of our military were not lost in vain....

You know what amazes me, you liberals and democrats are so willing to place blame on the Republicans....check the voting records of your Heroes and see who voted to go to war.....not only that, you folks need to do some soul searching to find out why now you are wavering and NOT SUPPORTING our troops.....it has the smell of Vietnam all over again....Congress is trying to fight the war and not letting the military do their jobs....God Bless the US Military and those that support it....

Unfortunately, many people like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry believed our "president" about WMD at the time. As more information has come out, many people have realized that the was wasn't such a good idea since there were never any WMD or evidence that Saddam was reconstituting his WMD programs. Even "president" Bush now says that there was no evidence of WMD and no connection between Al'Quaida and Saddam Hussein.

Becaue of this mistake, we have killed more Iraqi civilians than Saddam did...more than triple, actually.

When people are afraid, they are more likely to believe lies instead of taking the time to check out the facts first. The IAEA and the weapons inpectors were all saying that there was no evidence. All of the evidence put forward has been shown to have been made up...like the accusation of SH purchasing uranium from Chad. The "receipt" was signed by someone that hadn't been in power for 20 years.

Here's my argument to support the war:

1) Iraq (and Iran and Pakistan and several other mideast states) are actively sponsoring terrorists.

2) These terrorists are capable of attacking the US and other western countries, and have done so. Remember September 11? London subway bombings? Spanish train bombings? The first World Trade Center bombing? The USS Cole? There is a long history of them doing so.

3) These same terrorists groups, or the nations that support them, are actively trying to obtain nuclear technology.

Put these items together - terrorists who don't like us, who WILL act against us, and may eventually possess a nuclear bomb, or at least a dirty bomb. If that doesn't scare you to death, then there's no reasoning that could.

What's better in your mind - letting them proceed with their plans without doing something to intervene, or fighting them and stopping them? And if you want to fight them, do you want to do it here in the US, or on their home ground?

If you dispute any of these, please e-mail me and let me know which ones, and why you think I'm wrong. I will freely admit that some of the western world's past acts have led to this situation. But right now, we have to deal with the way the world exists now, not how it might have been had we only been more aware of what could have happened.

1. National Security
We have not had another terrorist attack unlike many European appeasers.

2. Why are Dem's incapable of coming up with a good reason to Leave Iraq.

How about a change in the way you ask it. Can they come up with a good argument for spending 500 Billion (and that's just a start the other trillion in bills is coming) + 2800 or so of our kids lives, what 17000+ shot up, and who knows how many of theirs.

I think the answer should be a no.

They have come up with reason the war had to be fought many many times. Before asking the above question, you should read the newspapers once in a while.
I have given the reason many times, here on answers. One more time would do no good, because some people don't want to hear anything that doesn't downgrade the president.

It's a game, you see.

1 - Liberals say "Justify the war for us, please."

2 - Conservatives stand silent knowing that is a fool's game because liberals believe strongly that there IS no justification for the war; hence, why bother trying to justify it to them?

3 - Liberals get to FEEL even more right that they did before.

4 - Conservatives say "So what? The war is what it is; that is, it is ongoing and must be won so that the liberals don't have further excuse for their anti-war, anti-corporate, anti-globalization, anti-conventional energy, anti-, anti-, anti- ranting."

So, you see, the liberals will ALWAYS be right - they know this and the conservatives know this. The trouble is that being right has nothing to do with the real world. As I said - it is what it is.

Because everyone knows we are just there for their oil but if they say that, then Bush can't hide behind the fact that he is using a horrible event (9/11) to try and take their resources. He would FOR ONCE have to tell the truth.

Because there is no good argument to justify the Iraq war.

I think it is because, deep down, they know it was wrong to go to Iraq.
I have yet to have even a coherant remark from a conservative. My uncle is the worst. He thinks all Muslims are evil and out to get all Americans so we must get them first! Geez!
He just loves George W. and thinks he is on a mission from God.
Can you tell this drives me nuts?
