My fish, Big Blue (a huge african cichlid) got pinned between the air filter and the heater. It literally burned a HOLE in him. I could see organs. He slept on a rubber sea anemone for about 3 weeks, and he would periodically get up and swim around in a circle, and then go lay down again. Not only is he alive, he is scarred pretty bad, and has babies with a mate. He is dong fine. Your fish may not make it, but I can tell you what I did for Big Blue to help out. I got liquid anti-bacterial (it's methiolene blue) and I added the drops to the water, which turns it blue, and then I turned up the heat to 80 degrees. The heat and medication healed him.

I really do hope this helps! I love gouramis. Mine were huge pearls and they had thousands of babies in their bubble nest.

Good luck!

Add salt for freshwater fish to prevent infection and speed healing by causing him to produce more slime. Be consistent with your water changes while he is healing, and make sure the new water is at the same temperature as the tank.

I know of a red devil that got jammed in a small log and we had to brake the log open to get him out. It took about a week before he went back to his normal aggresive self, you should be right, give him time he should pick up a bit, leave putting him back in the larger tank till he's fully recovered. GOOD LUCK!

Just give him some time (don't know how long this injury happened ago). If you notice infection on any of his/her injured areas - let us know out here and we could recommend a form of medication for treatment, but hopefully that will not be necessary.

he would not sound properly, yet i'm no longer confident what else you should do. I probable ought to isolate him in case you could merely in case he's sick with some thing which could infect the different fish too. desire he receives more advantageous acceptable, even with the indisputable fact that it ought to easily be previous age too :(
