I just bought a vintage baseball bat - "Mclaughlin-Millard, Inc. Northern White Ash, Adirondack 302, Dolgeville New York" with "Flexible Whip Action" inscribed to the right. It is a "Mantle Type Personal Model, Ligninized". Also, "Reg. U.S. PAT. OFF." above the McL/Millard.
Can anyone help me with the value and perhaps history of this bat, I have dated it to 1958 - 1960. It is in good shape, but in need of sanding.
Thanks!

my guess make a call or write the company and ask them to identify the bat since you have most of the info already. then find a sports memorbilia appraiser and see how much it is. some local auction houses have pretty good appraisrs.

I cannot help you with the bats value, other than to say that if anything about this bat is authentic, sanding it will deminish what value it may have.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING WORTH SOME MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take it to an sports appraiser or even any Card collection shop and they will have some helpful information for you, write to the manufacturer and see what they say about it.
Good luck with it.
