If you didn't like a team because they lost one game, then you're forgetting a lot of things.
First of all, they have 15 other games.
There's 46 years of tradition, that one game won't erase, even if a bomb went off in the stadium, that you couldn't erase.
Oakland will always be considered the rebels of the league, both due to Al Davis, and the fact, they are scared of no one.
Biggest problem the Raiders have had, is from 2003-2005, they've had to ditch almost 70 percent of their players, due to age issues.
Every team goes through the motions. The 49ers after Young fell apart. the Chiefs, after losing Montana to retirement, weren't anything fantastic.
Anymore, liking a team will depend on the time you follow them.
Sure, it sucked to be shut out....but go look at the year they won the Super Bowl, against the Vikings....they went 16-1, losing only to the Pats....and came back, later, and ran them into the ground.
If you like a team, don't change when weather gets hard....or you'll prove you're not strong enough to stay faithful.

I've always liked the Raiders but this year is going to be pretty awful. They were such a smashmouth, tough defensive team in their heyday. They were a team that accepted castoffs from other teams who often excelled in the "Silver and Black". Jim Plunkett was one such example who played for the Pats and 49ers before finding his way to the Raiders and of course he led them to victory in SB XV. It seems the current team will need wholesale changes before becoming competitive again, and I feel sure that will happen in time. This year will probably be a long and difficult season for Raider's fans for many reasons.

I do, they've been my favorite team since the Bo Jackson era. Think I like them still just because they were once one of the most ruthless teams in the NFL. I refuse to give up hope that they will one day regain that glory.
