can you reformat you pc even when you dont have the installation cd im running with windows xp

how do you reformat without the installation cd?

to reformat without the recovery cd, you will need to have a recovery option during boot up. this is typical on a HP/Compaq desktop. if you do not have the recovery cd's or a recovery partion, you will lose every thing on your hard drive and it would be a format not a re-format

you can reformat but you will need the cd to reinstall windows xp. FORMATTING will delete everything on your disk (partition).

Yes.... you can re-format it....but you will loose everything on the hard drive.....be careful...
