How long do you have to get an aboriton my friend really wants to know but I can't help her with this because I honestly don't know what to tell her other than she shouldn't have had sex. But I guess thats her fault. Because I think she said she is almost 5 1/2 months and her mom is suspicious. She called me all upset last night asking me hundreds of questions. And i just didn't have answers. So maybe someone can help?

I dont see how anyone would want an abortion anyways, you have sex, thats what happens sometimes.
I am 5 1/2 months pregnant too, she must be able to feel the baby move by now, how could she dream about an abortion. Have her take a look at these page or you even, its quite disturbing. This may have been you or her if your mothers didnt want you.

Thats WAY too late i think for Indiana it is 6 weeks, why would she think about getting an abortion at that stage she is already almost 1/2 way through and maybe even feeling it, she needs to go to the Dr also...have her talk with a pregnancy councilor

I'm really sorry for your friend's predicament. 5-1/2 months is legally too far along for an abortion. there is a law in most states that allows the mother, once the baby is born, to take him or her to an emergency room of a hospital and leave the baby there. under this law the mother cannot be prosecuted for abandonment. good luck.

She cannot get a legal abortion past 12 weeks. She should have thought about doing something about it when she first found out. Her only options now are keeping it or giving it up. She is almost at a stage that if born now, the baby has a chance to survive.

It is too late to have an abortion besides abortion is murder. Tell your friend she needs to tell her parents. She needs to receive prenatal care too. She could keep the baby or give it up for adoption. There are alot of people out there that cannot have children of their own and can provide a good stable home for this child.

Best advice I can give you is you need to talk your friend into telling her mom as soon as possible. If your friend is already 5 1/2 months pregnant, she really needs to see a doctor to make sure herself & her baby is ok.
Im really not sure how far along you can be and still get a abortion... but Im pretty sure she is to far along.

you are right, she shouldn't have had sex. she cannot get an abortion now, it is too late. once you are past three months, the fetus is concitered human, and the mother cannot have an abortion past that point. besides it isnt the babys fault, she should just give it up for adoption.

Have the baby take vitamins..and support her through this..but please don't hurt the baby growing inside..If she doesn't want to raise a child at this time ..there are plenty of people that would love to adopt ..Tell her to find a trusted adult and get some guidance ! ...When I was 16 I got pregnant and didn't tell my mom till 3 weeks before the baby was born..If you want more detail contact my e-mail pkrbj_5 @ yahoo.com

Thats sad...its too late to do the right thing now....she needs to just give it up for adoption or something killing a baby is just wrong.......................................................it depends on what state your in to how long it is before you can get an abortion and if shes underage or not but i think most people wont do it after 5 mo nths for sure.....but like i said it depends on yoru state and your age.....but i th ink its 24 weeks your freind should just tell her mother the truth and go from there on what to do....goodluck and keep in touch

I thought is was somewhere between 2-3 months but i cant be really sure she should call a clinic.
