Not necessarily. I wouldn't blame our lack of knowledge on the media, although it certainly is a cause. I would blame it on 1) our foreign policy, 2) our school systems.

The fix is to not get your news from the same place every day. Read different papers. Get your news from alternative sources. Don't let CBS/ABC/NBC/Fox News feed you what they're paid to tell you.

There are going to be countries that will hate us no matter what the media does or doesnt print or report. There will never be a unitarian liking of the united states..,and frankly I really dont care what others think of us.We are always wrong and we are always the bad guy until they need our help, whether its financial or other means. All I can say is I am thankful to be an american and have the freedoms that we have compared to other countries.

The world does not hate America.
What the world, i belive , does not like is some of George Bushs opinions...
I am Australian & i watch your " Today " show with Meredith Vierra & Matt lauer, It is pretty factual & informative.

I just read that, But if you seriously think about that link.. It is against America, Somewhere you just have to find balance and that is believing in what you want too, not what your television feeds you

I suppose people expect America with all its power and wealth to be exemplary in its behaviour and judgement. I do believe that America accepts responsibilities no one else takes on and tends to attract criticism as a result. It is easy to be critical on the sidelines without actually doing anything.

And the link you've posted is a balanced source? Your view of the world is about as queer as your turtleneck...

Since its obvious you have not traveled much, let me tell you a few things.Thats a bunch of media propaganda.I travel quite a bit overseas.A few months ago I was in Istanbul and so many Kurdish people told me to send their thanks and love to Bush. So,save some of your allowance, and get out of your parents house.Dont believe what you hear, see things and hear them for yourself.

I don't know who the "we" are?
I don't assume the media is anything but balanced.
I don't believe "we" whoever they are, are hated around the world.

You are making several breeches of logic and need to narrow down a question.
