in other words, for every JPG in this directory, document.write this HTML so that the JPG is displayed in a table like fashion. I know the document.write part, I just want to read the contents of a folder into an array or something...

It can't be done with javascript but I have seen Java modules that can do it. Just search in the Java libraries.

regrettably, i do no longer think there is any organic Javascript/HTML answer for this. Javascript purely does now no longer have the ability to test for each and all the records interior the internet itemizing in any helpful approach. something else desires to be accomplished to ensure that the server to facilitate that.
