I can't seem to drain the oil in my '90 yamaha virago 250. The drain plug is located almost directly in-between the engine and the frame. Also, I can't seem to find the right size wrench for it.

P.S.
How much oil does a 250 hold anyway?

The drain bolt is on the L side of the motor. It has a little screw in the middle of the bolt. Are you sure you're talking about the correct bolt. There should be plenty of clearance to at least get a box wrench on it. Unless there's some kind of accessories bolted to the frame.
I forget what size wrench to use.
17mm
19mm
22mm
It shouldn't take more then 2 quarts. Look on the crankcase near the oil fill cap. Some numbers might be on the motor. That's cc's.

A good resource for you might your local yamaha dealer. most dealers realize that there are a lot of do-it-yourselfers out there and usually don't mind sharing maintenance info.
