...LITERALLY, or do you allow your imagination
to see the true meaning of the question?

I do both. If the question "seems" serious, I try to play it Strait (Oops, sorry, I'm a country music fan). I meant that I try to play it "straight." If it doesn't sound serious, I try to "get it" and play along. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Good question -- better than my answer, for sure.

Depends on a lot of things. If I'm not real sure what the person means (like if it's an open ended question) I either take it lterally if I don't know the person very well, or give the funniest thing, crude or not, I can think of. Alot of questions just beg for a silly answer, and I try to oblige, but the ones that are serious, I return in kind.

It depends on the question. If it's meant to be literal, then I take it as such. But if the question is a joke(like those questions that one person is asking about the Donut Man)then I just let my imagination take over.

I take them in the context they are written and sometimes that is hard to do as some questioners are using the website to have ongoing dialog with others so you have to see their previous questions to answer their current question. Example, a simple question about picking between ice cream cones ended up into a philosophical debate about choice vs decision. It took six questions to figure out what started the debate.

it depends.

some are asked out of foolishness and I respond accordingly.

some are asked, like in TRACER"S case, I think because he has this book with all those questions and to give us the opportunity to get points, so I respond how I think he gonna grant points. yep, guilty as charged for game pointing.

some are asked seeking a real answer but would probably or has gotten reported under other catergories.

I try to answer them with a little imagination. I try to find a hidden meaning in the question. Sometimes, I take a silly question and answer it seriously just to be funny.

Don't you just love it?

Both. However, if a question makes no sense whatsoever, somtimes I'll do a lyric check on the phrasing and many times, it is a song...
