All green plants contain chlorophyll and carry on photosynthesis - algae, flowering plants, pine trees, sequoia trees, maple trees, palm trees, grass, corn, roses, dandelions, water lilies, etc., etc., etc. Some plants that don't appear green also carry on photosynthesis, like coleus plants or Japanese maples. In these species the chlorophyll is present, but its color is masked by other pigments.
