my ps2 slim dosent spin the cds?

I did the tape and paper method to it, and it worked for a week. now it doesent spin the cds. it boots up and goes to the browser screen, but thats it. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

buy a new one, they are cheap as dirt at best buy , since the ps3 is comming out that will be the thing of the past homie!
