try toggling the lock switch back and forth a few times. then hold down the select button (center button) and MENU for a few seconds until the apple logo comes up. if you still have problems, you may need to take it to your local apple store.

Make sure its fully charges, that might help. The only time Ive had the apple on my screen is when it needed to be charged.

Are you resetting it proper? Holding down multiple buttons at once? I forget wwhich ones. Is your cord plugged in? Try plugging in than doing proper disconnect (hitting icon to disconnect).

smack the mini under the table, it usually toggles it back to the right thing
