In the US freedom of speech is supposed to be guaranteed and protected by the Constitution; as is the right to disagree with the people in charge. Freedom from tyranny band oppression.
However, the currant Bush administration has used fear and the allegedly protection of the masses as an excuse to remove many of these civil liberties and now has an awful lot in common with the way Colonel Gadaffi ruled Cuba!

Radio stations are privately owned and don't have to play your music if they think it will piss off any people. Note that you also won't hear songs about raping children, torturing animals, or praising Hitler. There's a lot of abuse of free speech in this country. There's no reason radio stations should give in to that. And a "free" country doesn't mean you can do anything you want. It means you have more rights than in other some other countries.
Note that I think our president is an idiot.

As an American citizen and proud to be one, and respectful of those in charge; I do not want to hear anyone trashing this great country. Yes ban them and anyone else. There is no greater place to live than the states and if a person wants to trash it they need to get out and stay out. The president is doing the best he can and he has advisers that he has to listen to, he doesn't make all the decisions alone you know. The New York Times newspaper needs to also be banned, how can you get the enemy if the papers are telling our every move. The people of this country need to wake up before we lose it and then you will really hear people whine

I guess not. The radio stations are not honoring Free Speech, but I guess they have the freedom to play what they want.

It is a free country as long as the artists don't get prosecuted for what they say.

That is a corporate decision and the Corporations are Free to do it. While we have the right to say what we think, and feel, nothing says that anyone is required to allow you to use their media to spread your ideas. The first amendment only applies to the Govt. not fellow citizens.
I think it was LBJ, who once said, "The right to be heard does not automatically guarantee the right to be taken seriously."

Your ignorance is appalling. Fortunately with a free enterprise economy we can choose another channel. Even Lefty fruitcakes like yourself, which are the obscure minority, have outlets where they can be heard in the US...
