Definitely the Northeast. I live in NJ, and what's nice about the Northeast is that within 10 hours of driving you have 5 major US cities (Boston, NY, Philly, Baltimore, Wash. D.C.). Also, these are the oldest cities in the nation and have the most history as well as Old World influence. This all adds up to being the "most" culture, in my opinion.

This is not to take away from the other parts of the nation which have rich and deep cultural backgrounds. The midwest, West and South have great culture to offer. But your question was who has "the most", and I think the Northeast wins that hands down.

The United States has such a wide variety of culture that it would be truly unfair to say that one region holds more than another does. Sure the Northeast has some of the oldest developed cities and such. The south has the Underground Railroad, leading up to the north. The Midwest has the Alamo, . All around the country, there are representations from different Indian tribes. You don't find the same in the North as you do in the south or in the west. The country is so different and it should all be appreciated and not ranked as which is the best.
