It is Required by Law, which is SAME reason all the other restaurants have handicapped spaces. Take a look around your local McDonalds, etc.....
(in my area, there is a window where people can (if they choose), park their vehicle and walk up to a window and place an order)

some people may be handicap but can still drive. or maybe they are the driver of a handicap person.

They are required in the International Building Code, which in turn is adopted by most communites. I used to do code enforcement for a fire department.

because the americans with disabilities act requires them to.....seems sillier to me wal mart has parking spaces reserved for pregnant women, since pregnancy isn't a disease or a disability and walking is good for pregnant women (ask a doctor)
