Team selectors had decided to let him in the team if he can play as an allrounder. Looking at his perfomance from DLF cup where he scored 63 runs and getting some wickets...i think he will be in the icc champions trophy.

He will stay in the team if the team sack players like how they did in DLF cup against Irfan then his chances are very bright bcos Shewag, Y Sing and M Kaif are not performing well so he will be taken in the team with other on and off in the matches. And if he proves himself as a very gud all rounder then he will become permanent like SK Raina

Yes, he deserves to be in the team.
Secondly Sehwag should be rested as he is not performing as per expectatations.We should not rely on him much. Gautam Gambhir should replace him.
