Ahh.. sounds like you spotted the infamous "orange and white-ringed snake." This snake may be poisonous, all snakes are or aren't you know.

It's a corn or king snake could tell you if I saw a picture. coral snakes are DON'T have orange on them

Coral snake which is poisonous.
If a snake has bright colors it is a warning that it is dangerous. Ones that are harmless and can't protect themselves usually have dark colors good for hiding themselves.
