I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on MTV starting a latino mtv. Are you for it or against it, and why?

i think it goes 2 show just how many mexicans we have in this country now. they even have their own channel.

I think it's cool. I am Latina and I think it's great to have a channel (besides Pepsi Musica that's only on weekends in the morning) that plays Reggaeton, Batchata, Latino Pop, & Latino Rock.
And for all of you who think that we are 'invading' everything.... there's BET are THEY invading.
There's a Muslim channel are THEY invading.
And now LEGAL immigrants are invading, too...?

It is a great business move. They are demographic that is ripe for having culture exploited for large non-latino corporation's profit, just like hip-hop.
My prediction for the next ten years. Corporate America will move away from using hip-hop and rap to sell it's goods and services and start using lower middle-class latino culture.

Why not? For those Latinos who don't get into "American Style" Pop, a channel where they can get stuff more geared to them is fine.
