It truly is a sick thing... I find it completely unnacceptable and disgusting. It's possible that the child was quiet and they simply forgot, but how??? It's not excuse. Your child is the most valuable thing you have in the world. Would they have forgotten a diamond ring in the car? I don't think so. Something is definitely wrong with parents that do that. It could be stress or mental issues, but that's no excuse. They are not fit to be parents if the "forget" about their child. Especially those that leave their children in the car on purpose.

I really couldn't say. Not that its okay but could this be a new parent or the parent that doesn't usually transport the little one? The first time I ever went somewhere without my baby I got out and went into the store and after about 5 min I flipped out because I didn't have my baby and OMG did I leave him in the car?!?! I ran out of the store like a bat out of hell and went to the car and he wasnt there so I called the police and was so freaked out. I called my husband hysterical when the police came and He was like Honey we dropped him off at your mom's before you took me to work. He thought I was crazy and the police thought I was crazy but the female officer realized I was a new mom at the time and said it was the first of many scares and boy was she right! My family hasn't let me live it down yet and my little one is now 7.

I remember seeing just such a case here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
It was a grandfather who forgot his grandson.
Being a grandfather I really don't see how I could live with myself if I did something like that.
If you could have seen the the utter misery in th body of that grandfather when they showed him on television you would get an understanding of a living hell.
Could you imagine?

How horrible - it just horrifies me that this could happen... I don't have kids yet - but God I hope I would never never never do such a thing.
I just can't imagine how horrible these parents must feel that do this on accident. I don't know how you could live with yourself after that. I'm sure this would cause a divorce or some other tragedies. It's just too sad and horrible to comprehend.

Is there a site that identifies each part of the car under the hood, in virtual 3d model, labelled? So you can "download" a car and see its parts like anatomy...

A memory laspse and or mental defect I would suspect causes most of these problems. It's a terrible problem that has no easy solution.

No, I don't. But I do know the people who do this are either lazy, selfish, stupid, don't think, don't care, and should not have a child! ...actually, all of the above!
