without muslums takeing offence one way or the other. I’m not normally prejudiced but I find my patience being pushed farther and farther into a corner, they have taken offence at Christmas and most of our religious festivals. They are taking offence this week about something the pope said , what will it be next week and the week after that, For a supposedly peaceful religion, they soon are baying for someone’s head when it suits them and and crying for political correctness when it doesn’t. In my opinion they will not be happy till there is a full-blown holy war. Who agrees?

I have said many times, here on yahoo answers that Muslims ant it all their way - - - there is no other way for them. They reserve the right to make cartoons of Rabbis eating Christian babies, but all hell breaks loose when anything negative is said about Islam.
When anti-Jewish cartoons are shown in the newspapers, the Jewish people don't fill the streets yelling, burning flags, shooting into the air, and carrying on like a bunch of loonies.
The same for any of the other groups that are insulted by Muslims. That shows the difference between the Muslims and the rest of the world.
I could imagine that six or seven hundred years ago, Europeans might have carried on as the Muslims do now. Islam started around the year 632. They advanced a little, but darn little. They're stuck back in the Medieval Age. In a few more hundred years they might start to become civilized, but don't count on it.

The holy war would be caused by the Christians. All their comments to bait Muslims and the Christian bigoted attitudes are not in the realm of how Christians are suppose to act.
There are the radicals in Islam, true. But, there are the radicals in Christianity, too. Example-Pat Robertson saying President Chavez should be assassinated. Shall I go on with the list? And, I for one am tired of hearing how their religion is the only true religion......push it on everyone. Whatever religion a person follows is true-if it is right for that particular person, giving him personal contentment.
I am not a Muslim. But, I converted from Christianity to Judaism years ago., because G-d is One, and because of the Christian ''holier that thou'' opinion of themselves.
The Pope is suppose to be an educated man-what he said was pure stupidity. Shall I refer to the Inquisition and the Crusades--the most blood thirsty time in our history? I noticed he did not mention that.
Anyway---------clean your own house before condemning others.

WHo cares what they think? let them get upset. If they go too far we will spray them with Right Guard. Maybe listerine or Summer's Eve. If they smelled anything nice they would pass out. The only reason they keep getting upset is because we pay attention. Fullblown war. They could not organize enough. A full blown war would be over in 30 minutes.

Emotionally I tend to agree with you. However the prospect of a war between the Muslim world and the West is not a pretty one and one has to look at ways to save them from themselves. Perhaps in this climate we can be patient and give way on things which do not matter too much whilst concentrating on things that really matter (matters of strategic importance). I do not think that this is appeasement, the West's technological and industrial might is overwhelming and we need to tighten the screw gradually to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

Everyone needs to just take a step back and let people do whatever the hell they want. If you have to change someone, if you feel you must change someone, you have a major problem.

You are right. Muslims want non-Muslims to be the aggressor so that under the rules of the Qur'an, it is permissible to fight with them in jihad fee sybil Allah (jihad in the cause of Allah).

Christians take offense when Christianity is bashed so why wouldn't someone of a different religion feel the same when their religion is bashed? Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
