I always loved animals. I started thinking of working at a zoo, but I don't know where to start. Do you need a certain certificate working with wild animals?

Go down to your local zoo and ask to speak to the manager/curator/vet/information specialist. They'll be happy to point you in the right direction for what you need to learn for the job you want to do. Don't be afraid to ask questions of anyone.

Depends on your qualifications, but there are a few things you can do. You can go to the official site for the zoo and look at the job opportunities. (Most are volunteer, but at least you'll get experience while you are furthering you career.) You can also go to the zoo and go the the employment office located inside. To give you an example of what types of jobs there are, I put a link to the Indianapolis Zoo employment opportunities below. (Sorry, I didn't know where you were from, so I picked the zoo closest to me.)

Zoos are always looking for volunteers. If you can't land a volunteer position there then go to your local animal shelter or speak with a veterinarian and volunteer hours there.
The key is to get some experience working with animals and then you can build your resume.
-If you are in college take some biology/science classes.

Most zoos require a 4-year degree in zoology or similar. To make it worse, after all those years in college, you would be getting paid most likely minimum wage or less so you would need a side job just to get by. Sucks for us.
