Save up the money and buy one on your own. As a parent, I'd have to say no just because of the price tag on them, not to mention the price to get the cage (which usually costs as much or even more), plus the food.

You have to be responsible enough to take care of it, as well. If you regularly do your chores, get your homework done on time, etc, your mom will know you are responsible. If you don't do that stuff when you are supposed to, or at all, then chances are, you are not responsible enough for a pet that will cost your parents several hundreds of dollars when it's all said and done.

Like the others said u can say that ur first does need a campanion .You also have to convince her that u'll take care of the second one just as well as the first one. Having two pets even if their ferrets are alot of work double costs will be made.

Hum, I am a mom. I have to question why you want a second one. With that aside. Ferrets do like to be in pairs. BUT you need to introduce them just like you would cats. You can't just toss them together in a cage and hope for the best. Being in pairs helps with their mental health. They have someone to play with when your not around. Down fall could be that you might have to have a larger cage. Not sure if she is dead set against it that you can convince her... but good luck.

Ferrets do better in pairs.

A polite suggestion as to your use of language: one may convince OF, one may convince THAT, one may not convince TO or INTO. One PERSUADES to.
