I mean she does the same things, sensationalism, I saw some thing on there (while I was at the gym, had no choice) talking about gay guys and some guy was at a gay bath house and talking about having sex with 30 different guys in a couple hourse time. So, once in a while she talks about a book, does that make up for the fact most of the time its sensationalism. I mean if you wrap poop (which is what most people would call Springer) in a pretty little wrapper, it's still poop, right?

PS-I'm not implying all women like Oprah or that no men do, but women are who I mostly see into it.

You're missing the point bigboi, the show I saw was just as filthy as anything on springer. So what maybe she's only as filthy 25% or 10% of the time, but if I murder people 10% or 25% as much as Hitler, I'm still pretty much a bad guy, right?

I don't know why either. I didn't see the episode you alluded to, but I know that SO many of her episodes are self promotion. She does do good, but she's always right there to take credit for it. She's almost become a "cult." She can suggest something and people will flock out and do it.
Why did you do that? "Oprah said so." Why did you buy that? "Oprah said so." It's like the hypnotized chant of the
undead.
Me, I'll think for myself, thank you.

Personally i think Montel has a prettier wrapper! But yes Oprah can have sensational subjects...Springer is the only trashy one in the bunch. I think Montel is very sensitive with his guests as well, haven't watched him in a while. Oprah is just fun. Her enthusiasm is infectious. & she inspires people to do good things for themselves & others. Nothing wrong with that. She's a powerful woman with a message. She does do a lot of good for people as well (although with her billions of dollars one could argue she can certainly afford to be a humanist. She could probably buy Africa...) I like her. I don't watch her that often though. I only watch HGTV if I watch TV at all anymore.

On Oprah she does have guests that provide information that we can use. Jerry Springer has a bunch of idiots who fake fight about the same stuff who cheats on who. Maury's claim to fame is baby mama drama, paternity tests, lie detector tests, and transsexuals. Montel does mostly serious subjects, Tyra Banks is like Oprah for a younger female audience. The shows don't even have the same audience so how can you say they are the same. http://www2.oprah.com/index.jhtml
Two of her guests Dr Mehmet Oz and Dr Michael Roizen The "YOU Docs"—Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen—say we're the fattest country in the world because of unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles. It doesn't have to be that way, though. They say you can get your health back on track in a mere 90 days with their lifestyle suggestions.

You can't compare Oprah to Springer. Her show is nothing like that. Their is nothing trashy or nasty about Oprah. Of all the good Oprah has done what the hell has Springer done. You have never seen on Oprah people fighting and ripping their clothes off. All her shows are tasteful. What have you done in your life to make people lives better? At least her show is positive and it does help people changed their lives. Do us a favor and don't watch her show anymore.
