Soap can irritate that sensitive area or disrupt the Ph balance there. One does have to be careful there, you don't want an infection.

It is correct, sitting in a bubble bath or washing the vaginal area with soap often cause yeast infections. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't wash. The vaginal area needs special care and more moisture than the face. However, she needs to use a pH balanced non soap wash.

You actually shouldn't put regular soap inside your vaginal canal. It can kill important bacteria and cause yeast infections and other icky things. The uterus and vagina have a delicate bacterial balance which is important to keep them healthy
Like anything else there are good bacteria and bad bacteria and most kinds of soap don't discriminate. Even douches, which are specifically for internal feminine cleansing can kill those good bacteria, leaving you open to infections.
So ifyou're going to wash internally, be sure you use something specifically recommended for it by your gynocelogist.
There is nothing wrong with using regular soap on your external genitalia - both inner and outer labia, etc. Just be sure to rise thoroughly.

Many soaps can cause senitivity issues. They can be too harsh, have perfumes or dyes that can irritate and some believe that many can bring on yeast infections. Using more natural types of soaps or cleansers would be a much better choice. Trying a reputable health store would be the best bet.

Because you can't just use any type of soap down there, because it can irritate your skin, and trust me it is not a warm and fuzzy feeling. It tingles and burns,ok. I learned this at a young age, that's why I use body wash, or product's designed specifiaclly for my most intimate area, like Summer's Eve. I can use it just for that area,or body wash, or in my bathwater. I wash everything, if you're not gonna clean the whole area, then what's tha point.

Some people get yeast infections easily if they wash with soap. They should certainly use more than water though.

That is definitely not healthy, but, DOVE soap is really gentle. They should try using that. I'm pretty sensitive, and this never gives me any problems.
