I am looking for a site where ican share an excel file between my laptop and my desktop computer for free.

Check with your internet provider. Comcast, AOL and others provide free space for personal webpage development. You can send the file to that space and then download it from anywhere you can get internet connection.
My provider: Comcast allows you 25 MB per userid and they allow 7 userids per account.
Yahoo has some free space with your free e-mail account, check on the deal on Geocities.
