You know, you read a book so many times that it falls apart, so you buy a new copy of it. Do you have any books that you've had to do that with? I have too many to name, lol.

I work fior British Heart Foundation and recently bough a copy of the Lord of The Rings, I have a original and dare not read it anymore!! I've read it at least 2 times a year since I was 8 and I anm now 34!!! The other books that I have bought recently is the Mallory Towers series and the Secret Seven as my niece is dyslexic and this was the only way to get her interested. It worked!!

I'm also a big reader and have had to replace many books. I had to do research in college on Ted Bundy and wound up fascinated with him. ( The fact that he had everybody fooled). I've read some of the books so many times that they are taped together. Once in awhile I'll find a newer copy at Half Priced Books and I'll buy it.

I have read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy at least 20 times! I have also read The Winds of War (Herman Wouk) a dozen times or more. A good book is the best company one can have.

Yes sadly I have. Quite a few

The Hobbit - J.J.R Tolkien
The Shining - Stephen King
The Stand - Stephen King
It - Stephen King

Though I think with paper backs, a lot of it has to do with age, as I'm sure I've not read It that often as it scares the crap out of me!

No, aside from paperbacks, I actually like the personality a book becomes after being read. I collect old books.

Yes, several. And some that I'd like to replace are out of print now. I'll keep hunting for them. Happy reading!
