You have to use order of operations, which is doing the following things in this order from left to right: parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction(P.E.M.D.A.S.)here are a couple of ways to do the problem:
36/(4+5)-7+(2x3)+12/(3+1)=6
36/(9)-7+(6)+12/(4)=6
(4-7)+(6+3)=6
-3+9=6
OR
(36/((4+5-7+2)x3)+12)/3+1=6
(36/(4x3)+12)/3+1=6
(36/12+12)/3+1=6
(3+12)/3+1=6
15/3+1=6
5+1=6

(36 / ((4 + 5 - 7 + 2) x 3) + 12) / 3 + 1 = 6
(36 / (4x 3) +12) / 3 + 1 = 6
(36/12 +12) / 3 + 1 = 6
(3 +12) / 3 + 1 = 6
15/3 + 1 = 6
5+1 = 6

although multiplication and division are neither more important than the other 1. u do them in order thay come.
same for addition and subtraction
so ur question becomes (36/4) +5 -7 + (2 x 3) + (12/3) + 1
= 9 + 5 - 7 + 6 + 4 +1
= 18

I hope my answer is correct.
(36 / (4 + 5)) - (7) +(2 x 3) + (12 / (3 + 1)):
36/9 = 4; - 7; 2x3= 6; 12/4=3
math time:
4 - 7 + 6 + 3 = 6
