My own opinion is that, we (the American people) just need to disappear from the region as much as possible. These folks have a big barb in their eye (it has made in America on it) and if we can remove that barb, they will go back to hating each other and the guy across the river and forget about us.

We need to protect our strategic interests in the region, but we can do that differently and in a way that puts us more to the shadows and not right on front stage.

These people are just like a pitbull, they will rage against anything that walks in the front yard.
