Did she ever manage to have an intimate contact at the end (and I hope its with Gambit)?
Knowingly, her powers is to absorb the life energy of whoever she touched with her bare hands. Was she healed of this unfortunate mutant power?

Her powers cause her to absorb the "life force" (memories, powers, etc.) of anyone she has a skin-to-skin contact with. She was infatuated with Gambit since, well, always basically. The most recent occurance in the relationship I believe you would be interested.
She lost her powers for awhile and ran off with Gambit, but alas, she has come back with her original powers, and now she has pemanently gained Sunfire's.
Take a look at marvel's site, states this on the subject: "During their quest Rogue and Gambit were rendered powerless, and the pair seized the opportunity to pursue living a normal life together in the mutant-friendly community of Valle Soleada in California.
