Check your wireless router to see if it is configured properly for use with your laptop. For example, did you set a security where a key is required to use the WiFi you had set up? If you had set up a key, then that key has to be applied to your laptop for it to connect. Check with your wireless router company how to set it up properly. If you are using linksys its http://192.168.1.1 to setup your wireless router. Password is admin.

Hi. When you get a message like this: "have limited or no connectivity" . It means the router or "wireless device" is having troubles communicating with your laptop. Try to switch off both your router or wireless device. Try to wait about a minute or so then switch it back on. This should fix the problem, if not then your router may not be set-up properly. Look at your manuals, there should be a help line. They will help you further to solve your problem.

1. i wouldnt worry about that.
2. the reason your proberly not getting a router ip address is you have not config the router to wifi, eg goto the router config pages, goto the section that covers wireless config, put in a good passphrase set it to 128bit key, and then apply these all.. goto your laptop open up the program or application, used for wirless scan, double click on your ssid, enter the passphrase your router. this will give your laptop IP address.
