Most days I have trouble believing that Osama bin Laden ever really existed. The way he has been built up in the media he sounds like a comic book villain.

There was a story once where a general asks a computer for advice on what to do to further his career. The computer refuses to answer, but its owner forces it to. The answer was: "Discover a plot to bomb the capitol. Spend the rest of your career commanding troops to look for the bombers".

Even if bin Laden were found, the War on Terror (tm) is too much of a gravy train for the army and Washington elite to ever shut down. They'll just find some other villain to fill the role.

bin laden knows his territory, but you know the problem is bigger than what it seems 'cause even if Bin laden is death, the organization will go on , he is just one person, and anyways I don't think that is the only reason why we are in the middle east, I think we are there 'cause we have to take care of our business as a country, the most powerful. If there are problems over there we are going to have problems, but oh well, hope I answered your question.

He's not dead, he's living at a resort in Florida j/k

Supposedly, last I heard he was in some tribal area between Afghanistan and Pakistan where there is an agreement that if there is any kind of fighting or raids brought on by foreign personnel then Pakistan has to retaliate (they have nuclear devices). But that was years ago. Realistically, no. He's not dead. If he was killed he would be replaced by another "top lieutenant" (who seems to change every month). I hope life insurance comes with the job.

There are rumours that he has been caught and is captivity. A pakistan female journalist tried to report it and has been kept quiet. (apparently). I don't think that Bush would have to pull out of the middle east even if he was dead, there is still far too much oil there.
