Crabs and lobsters I feel sick if I just see one on telly, and god forbid if I see a live one! I know how the fear started but it's a long story, I guess you may have a bad experience with cotton wool at some time thats what usually triggers a phobia.

lol, you are no alone at all. Personally, I'm just scared of spiders, which is pretty normal. My cousin is scared of cotton wool, and one of my friends is scared of buttons.

You are definitly not alone, and it is definitly not the oddest phobia there is. There's a list here - www.phobialist.com

some of the odd ones, -

Albuminurophobia- Fear of kidney disease.
Anablephobia- Fear of looking up.
Ideophobia- Fear of ideas

I hate cotton wool too!!! My weirdest phobia has to be tea bags though, wet ones in particular. I dread the day when I have kids and they bring home a piece of paper from school that they have to "age" with tea. - Yuk!!

You are not alone..,at times this phobia still kicks in at my age..,my brothers used to tell me that a hand would come out of the hole in a toilet and grab me..,had phobias of that since. Not as bad and yes I use the toilet lol.Silly isnt it?But years ago they had the tidy bowl man and a commercial where a hand came out of a washing machine holding detergent tablets..,that didnt help with what my brothers were feeding me.Good luck.

I'm scared of flushing toilets.
When my best friend and I were in nursery school (20 yrs ago) she came out of the cubicle as she flushed the toilet. She was standing just in front of me, and she was shorter, and we both got drenched by what seemed like a waterfall.
Recently I used a public convenience with a motion sensor. As soon as I closed the cubicle door behind me the toilet suddenly flushed. I screamed and jumped.
You are not alone....
