The perimeter is the distance around a given two-dimensional object. Thw word perimeter is a Greekroot meaning measure around, or literally "around measure." Perimeter can be calculated for any two dimensional object, with the right formula.
Are is a physical quantity expressing the size of a part of a surface. The term can also be used in a non-mathematical context to be mean "vicinty."

When you have a 2D figure like a square, the perimeter is the total length of the sides of the square.
To get perimeter, you basically add all the sides.
Same applies for triangle, parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, trapezium.
In a circle the perimeter is the length of the circumference.
To get the circumference, you use the formula 2*pi*r [ r= radius, pi = 3.14]
area is the space enclosed within the figure. In square , the space within the four sides is the area. To find area, you have to use different formula for different figures.
Square: L^2 [L is side]
Rectangle: L*B [ L= Length, B= Breadth]
Circle : pi * r^2 [ r= radius, pi = 3.14]
triangle: 1/2 * base * altitude
