I'm a high school junior and I'm trying to find a prestigious college to go to. I've been looking at Vandebilt for some time now and I wanted to know if it was a good university to go or not. If not could you please include some alternate universities. Also how is the curriculum there... the food... the night life.

You didn't say what you want to major in. It's a good university for things like medical, law, etc.

I went there as a graduate student so I didn't have to pay. I don't think it matters so much where you go for an undergraduate degree career-wise, as long as you go to a decent university.

I would highly recommend getting a base undergrad degree in something that guarantees a job to fall back on, like a teaching certification, or a science/engineering degree, or medical or law. Stuff like psychology/history/philosophy won't help you so much unless you are sure you can and will go on to get a phd.

Community-wise, Vanderbilt is very nice. There is plenty of stuff happening, a lot of events, a lot of places to hang out. But most decent colleges are like that nowadays.

I haven't been there myself but I have friends that went there - it is an outstanding university! You never hear of complaints (except the cost) and you will receive a top notch high quality education!

How do you get a Vanderbilt graduate off your front porch?

Pay him for the pizza.
