i have had relatives that i only maintained a telephone relationship with... because i was afraid that one day i would be visiting and the cops would come to their door. we are judged ..right or not by the company we keep. he is afraid that if you hang out with her..you will get into trouble.. and her flirting will bring men to you as well. and he is right. we all love people at one time or another that do not share our morals..or beliefs.. you cannot make her turn a new leaf. if she wants to stay your friend she has to make some changes as well. it is not all on you. but whether you had a boyfriend or not... i would advise you... to curtail your exposure to this woman. you are no longer children... and sometimes.. no matter how painful it may be.. you have to let things go. this is one of those times...if you are not strong enough just to have a phone conversation once in awhile.. and nothing else..you have to let go

Sounds like a difficult dilemma because in a sense your boyfriend is trying to dictate who you have for friends. I recommend being her friend ~ regardless of what your boyfriend thinks of her... however, it does sound like she lives a lifestyle that doesn't necessarily fit with your values. So like I said, continue to be her friend, but perhaps distance yourself a bit. You can remain friends without hanging out. It's possible too that you can have a positive influence on her.

your friend (no offense) probably needs a little bit of help and the only one that could help her is you. if she doesn't want to change than obviously...she doesn't want to change and you cant really do anything about it you just got to deal with it and as far a your boyfriend goes if he is really sweet, nice and likes you for you than he is just as good as your friend.

your boy friend don't have to like your friends, he only need to accept them. my wife has friends whom i don't like and they don't like me either(personality conflict)but we both accept each other as part of her(my wife) life.if your boy friend loves you he should understand that your friends have probadly known you much longer than he has and they probadly have shared some bad times with you. anyway friendship and love is NOT a non - renewable resource, so it's not as if you'll run out of it.

Don't lose a friend over a boy. Boy's come and go. Friend's are forever.

i think your boyfriend is just jealous. You should break up with your boyfriend and keep your childhood friend as your new boyfriend.
