Discovering that the source of peace lies in my own mind.

A great deal of suffering is mental turbulence.
When the turbulence settles, most problems settle down as well.

Establishing some peace within myself, I can share it with everyone I meet.

Being hired as an assistant to work in a school. I love the hours
and working with kids keeps me young. I feel important and I
know I am making a difference in children's lives. The pay isn't great but the perks are fantastic. Whenever I get a hug and a thank-you I walk on cloud nine for the rest of the day.

I got to meet an actor when I was 19, one that I had a crush on when I was 11, after I saw him in a movie. Turned out that his grandpa and my grandma are long time friends. When I met him I found out he was wonderful and got a crush all over again, and then he kissed me. It was so sweet and romantic and an absolute dream come true. We are still friends which is awesome, and it was like a perfect scene from a movie, what more could a girl want?

Hmmm, i was brought up by roman catholic nuns till i was 9. They taught me to question things (because they were so contradictory in what they said and what they did). They taught me there is good and bad in the most unexpecting places. They thaught me the difference between things from the heart and things done for ulterior motives.
Oh, and meeting my hubby. He's the best.

Being born with an exaggerated awareness of human rights sense of justice, because it means I can meet people and not judge them by their skin colour, religion, nationality or ethnicity, but as people.
Gets me into trouble sometimes, but that's the way I am and that's the way I'll stay.

Finding a good man. I was a single mother of a 3 year old, until I met "X". He has changed my life. He treats me great, he treats my child great, my child loves him, he helps me with everything from grocery shopping to cleaning up the house, he keeps a smile on my face, and he is absolutely gorgeous...I couldn't ask for anything more :-)

I graduated college. Why is thatt he best? It opened up a world of opportunities that would have been closed off to me wihtout an education.

Although I don't know that that's something that happened to me, so much as something I caused.

I had exceedingly good parents whose guidelines have given to me all in my life. Though like everyone I too had my share of woes, certainlly I could overcome many of those as they stood behind me in difficult times. In later years, the same was done by my wife and I too had the opportunity to help her to overcome her problems. We are a happy family and because of the help to each other in times of need.
