You can try to find a manager or agent but unless you are already an established artist they probably won't be interested in you. It's a tough business to break into! But if you're serious & have a lot of talent as a singer then you can try sending your CD to record companies. Look them up on the internet & try to get the names of the A&R (artists & repertoire) people at the company. These are the ones that look for & develop new talent. Just be prepared for rejection. Be prepared for your CD to end up in the trash at most companies who are too busy to even listen to it. Nowadays with people downloading music for free, it's harder than ever for record companies to make money & they may be reluctant to go with an unknown singer, even if you are amazingly talented.

The best way to make it in the music industry is to build up an audience base. Get out there & sing! Go to open mike nights at bars. Be seen & heard. Talk to other people in the industry & make contacts. Get gigs even if it's working for free or very little money. You could make your own CD's at home (burning copies & making a cover for them etc) & then try to sell them at gigs. You might make more money as an indie artist than you would on a label. Record contracts aren't always the way to go.

Anyway, good luck! I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist myself. I enjoy going to open stages & sharing my songs. Even if I don't make money at it, I enjoy being a part of the creative community. & who knows, maybe one day I may get discovered...

If you can sing good enough you should try singing at clubs or something like that. I bet someone would find you.

no having a maneger is a bad idea because they will just take all your money...you don't acually have to have a maneger to be able to sing, you just need to know how to sing...
