Give in and get the best interest rate. Just be careful it doesn't have any catches like "number of times you can withdraw money" and "you need to put x pounds into the acount every month" and longer term ones where you can't withdraw for a year or more.
I find that I have to change account every 5 years or so with the halifax because they decrease the interest rates on old schemes to get you to switch.
I think they have too much time on their hands and should just give us the best rates without all the messing.
Or you could just switch banks if you think another one is better.

Go in and ask to have a block on your account to stop anyone asking any questions. Then when you go in and they bring up your account details, there is a big sign on the screen saying you have specifically asked not to be advised of any other accounts. Once this is on they shouldn't ask you anything apart from what you actually want.

Get a big t-shirt that says 'I Am Not Interested In Upgrading My Account' and then scream the same words at her across the desk. Should work.

Everyone should move to NatWest!
Its the only one with phones into the branch - rather that the other side of the world!!
I changed recently - and it wasn't too difficult!

How DARE you offend the powers that be? Howard will come and find you, sing endlessly about interest rates, and introduce you to his pet dog now! Oh, I pity you, I really do.
