Wow, it's really lots of fun having to pay bills isn't it? You can not possibly need a cell phone at the age of ten; and if you think you do you need to be doing some of the other suggestions on here before you are using the phone. You are learning at a young age that having material processions means that you have to pay for them. How did you get a cell phone without your parents knowing about it???? You should probably be discussing this with them instead of asking a lot of total strangers in the world. You are too young to be on this site. Get off the computer and discuss this bill with your parents. Go now.....

Are there any elderly people living near you? Go up to their homes and knock on their doors and tell them you are trying to make enough money per month to have a cell phone.

Some elderly people have extra money and a lot of chores of various types that need done around the house. Be sure you do the jobs right for repeat business.

Even if it's stacking dishes in a dish washer, or just neatening up the home, always make sure you do the job right and get feedback from them to help you learn how to do the job right. They will probably enjoy showing you how, and your care and attention to doing such small chores correctly will pay off in a lot of ways. Once you get older, they might be able to help you find better jobs and provide connections to local businesses. Never hurts to have people on your side who value you as a person.

Good luck with your goal!

At ten years old you are way too young to be on here, considering some of the content I have seen. Mowing lawns, shoveling snow in the winter. Doing fall cleanup for elderly people. Rake leaves trim bushes, etc. I don't know where you live so it is hard to give you ideas.

Get a cheaper phone, so there's less for you to earn. A prepaid phone works great because you will feel the sting every time you use a prepaid unit. Think of it as good education for your future.

If you know somebody that works at Target, they can use their employee discount (10%) to buy prepaid cell phone cards, so you get a little bit more for your money. I used prepaids for a long time and that 10% quickly added up (my wife works at Target).

Another trick is to use SMS more. Inbound SMS messages are free, and you can send SMS messages for free if you send them as emails. For example, Virgin Mobile has free inbound SMS, 10 cents for outbound SMS. They will give you an email address that lets people send SMS to your phone for free. If you want to send an SMS to somebody else, try sending it from your email instead of with your phone, and you won't have to pay for it.

When my daughter needed to earn money, she got a soap and a bucket and went around the neighborhood and washed peoples cars for them. Some of the neighbors had her come back every week.
You could also offer to do yardwork or other odd jobs they might not have time for.

Start a business something small such as a lemonade stand. It will get you prepared for later in life. Oh and I agree your a little to young with some of the questionable content to be on here.
