It depends on what sort of model. Fashion (catalogue, magazine, advertisement) models vary from 5'6-5'11 and not much taller than that. Runway models, the models most people think about, are meant to be clothes-hangers, so they are 5'7-6'2. This probably isn't helpful because I didn't average it out, but... I'm lazy.

A study done in 2002 showed that among top editorial fashion agencies in Los Angeles and New York, 81% of their “editorial fashion” models were 5’9” and above; 15% were between 5’8” and 5’9”, and only 4% were below 5’8” tall.

the minimum height is 5'8", that's for u to even b considered that said the taller u r the better chances u have for getting signed up by an agency. i should know being in the business !.
