Not unless you are ripping through your hair with a brush to get it out, it shouldn't. After gel has been applied and you are ready to wash your hair, put shampoo directly on hair before getting wet. Rub in and gradually add water. This should help.

not that i know of. hair loss is caused by other reasons, not the gel. unless...your skin would have an adverse reaction to the gel. where it effects the hair folical and the underlying hair bulb. then it might. but for the use of the gel in general? i just can not see this happening.
