I went out alot, stay out with a group of friends till 5am easily, can play pool for up to 14 hours and hang out with 20 people no problem when i was a teen and then stop outgoing for a few years now. Now, I feel uncomfortable in a group if there are couple new people. My friend say i dot't talk a lot but if the subject is interesting, exciting and curious then I can talk like crazy lol. Also, I dotn' feel shy when talk to a new person and I really good in playing chess. So am I introverted or extravert? or you need more information lol.

Nobody is entirely introverted or extroverted. Such a static personality would have a lot of trouble functioning in the world. But its about preference or how you are in a natural state. So if you have a good chunk of free time and you spend it reading, playing video games or in some other activity that requires some type of introspection and not so much social interaction, the you're probably and introvert. If you'd rather go out with friends or call someone on the phone in your idle moments, you're probably and extrovert.

Time will answer this for you. When you've lived a little you will know which one you are.

If you have already lived try answering these questions:
1. Do you think that people who go out every night are wierd?
2. Do you think that hermits are wierd?
3. If you were given the option of going out to the pub of your choice or stopping in to play a computer game of your choice, which one would you go for?

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of any at the moment.

If you're answered the same for both 1 and 2, maybe you're normal and are neither introverted nor extraverted.

An individual who cannot easily make friends and who do not mingle with others in a social situation, who is generally shy by nature, keep for himself/herself, quiet, prefer to be alone always, hates group activities, just wants to remain aloof, unseen and/or
unheard type can be called as an introvert. Where as an extrovert loves to socialise, has many friends, outgoing, who can take a centre stage in a social situation, cracks jokes, outspoken, he/she can make the first move, possess leadership skills.

If you're introverted you recharge / get energy from within and often feel drained when you're around others. If you're extraverted you get energy from others. Definitely recommend looking into Myers Briggs Type Indicators (MBTI). If possible do the proper test and speak to a qualified MBTI expert.

Introverted... i like being social, yet I continuously love spending time on my own reading, particularly at school. on occasion whilst all of us is socializing and conversing collectively, I do exactly no longer choose to be an element of it.. it is not lack of self belief or something, I merely locate dissimilar issues relaxing. yet I actual have a bizarre hyper ingredient, yet in trouble-free terms some people have seen it =]

The Meyers-Briggs personality evaluation can help you. It is how you get re-energized. At the end of a long day, do you want to just be alone, or do you want to go out on the town with friends? It is really where you get your energy from. Most people think it is what you are exuding, but it is a different meaning.

You could start by asking your parents, friends, adults that have known you for years. Also community colleges offer a battery of interest inventory tests; Myers-Briggs is popular. Also check out the local book stores.
I'm an INTF, take the MB test and you will understand
