Shutdown and re-start,click start/search and in the all files and folders type in popcorn or any name that relates to it,click once on what you want to remove hit delete/enter on each one.
Shutdown and restart and this should get rid of it,if not try going to Download.com and install ad-aware which may get rid of it.

there is a much easier way to deal with the problem, without going into safemode or downloading all kinds of programs.
There is a website you can go to http:\\www.trendmicro.com that offers a free virus and spyware(as well as all the other"wares") scan. if you have a large hard drive, it may take an hour or so, otherwise, it is relatively fast. If that doesn't work THEN I would say it is time to start downloading software. The three best programs to download are
"Spybot Search & Destroy" : http://www.spybot.info/\
"Adaware" : http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5
and finally,
HiJackThis : http://www.download.com/HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10379544.html
Be careful with Hijack this, it is generally meant for people that know what they are looking for. I hope you can take care of the problem. E-mail me if it doesn't.

Go to this website and register. http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0
Then go to the Hijack This Form, read the post of how to post a log, follow the instructions and someone will help you get rid of all the nasties on your computer. They are very trustworthy in there and extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
You do not need to get a new hard drive! The volunteers in there will sort you out and how to stop your computer getting infected again. Plus, stop your hubby from looking at these websites..... tell him to grow up!!

Does the program that gets or displays it have an entry in Add or Remove Programs?
( Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs)
If so, remove it.
If not, please let us know exactly what the software / program is called or the web site it goes to for the porn.
Does the program / software start automatically when you start the computer?

try a programme called 'hijackthis'.
this programme will tell you what your computer is being asked to do at startup. You can then find and delete any programmes that should not be there.
There is also a programme called 'cwshredder' which is very powerful at removing stubborn spyware programmes.
if you need any more help email me.
