We know from t.v. that lions hunt by daylight. As well they sleep very often in the shadows during daylight.
I guess the same can be expected at night, however the lion would be crazy to hunt at night, because it can hurt itself easily.

Lions hunt by both day and night. During day hunting, they tend to hunt near water holes.
Lions have excellent night vision and often hunt at night if not near water holes to avoid the heat.

All lions sleep for 20 hours.But prefer to hunt at night.so yes they are nocturnal.They will hunt at day,but they only do about 2 times during the day.

Lions are nocturnal. That doesn't mean that they won't occassionally hunt in the day when opportunity presents itself

male lions sleep most of the day and night, so they dont count
female lions hunt by day and sleep by night
and the kids wouldnt be up all night while the parents slept
so no, lions are not nocturnal
