Yes...sort of... it seems that it would make more sense to say "each WAS arrested"

LIL ANGEL IS WRONG WRONG WRONG. "of the suspected men" is a prepositional phrase. The SUBJECT of the sentence is EACH.

Say the sentence without the extra stuff, and you''ll be correct. Not the words after "of".

Yes, beacause the word 'is' is dealing with 'each'. Each is singular, therefore use the word is.

no. it would be are. if you take out the rest of the sentence...which sounds right? men is arrested...or..men are arrested...? There's your answer.
