I think sometimes we need to pretend to be someone else once in a while when we aren't happy with who we really are!

A long time ago I made up this real good profile as a woman. I found a picture of woman about 25 years old and went to a Yahoo chat room. Within 30 seconds I had Im's from so called men want to do all sorts of sordid things to this persona I had made up. Gave me a lot more respect for the ladies and what they put up with on the net.

Everyone is a GREAT pretender! Try going to work, pretending that you simply love your job when half the time you are busy covering your own **** and half the other time you are busy dogding from backstabbers in the office. Truth to tell, we all bloody hate work and our heart palpitates every Sunday night thinking what **** we're gonna get into the week ahead. But come Monday morning, we'd be flashing our plastic smiles and greeting every damn idiotic colleague and client 'cheerfully'!

I think I'm perfect just the way I am so I have no reason to pretend to be someone else besides that would be to much work to keep up.

Yes, it happens to all "normal" persons occasionally. Lying comes under this category of pretence. There are times you lie to save your neck or that of another person. Some people call it an acceptable lie. An example is one's pretence to faithfulness to a friend, whose wife you caught in a casual affair with another man, but kept it to yourself.
