I thought that when a man and a woman get married they just have a baby. I knew it came from mummy's tummy but didn't get how it got there!

When i was a kid i though that if your mum and dad kissed they had a baby and it was brought in a basket by a nurse. Then i was a bit confused cos i was told it was a stork not a nurse. Then when i knew mum went to the doctors during pregnancy, she had to give it up and explain that the baby inside was taken from a seed from dad, injected into her by the doctor, which will come out when she goes to the toilet from her bottom. Then when i finally found out where babies came from i nearly had a break -down.OH MY GOD!

I always knew where they came from..it wasn't a secret in our family although when I was little I didn't get the intimate details. I'm the same with my son as well. He is four and know's to some extent how the baby gets in mommy's tummy and then how it comes out. I hate when parents tell their kids stupid things like the stork..just like how parents tell their kids it's a pee-pee when in fact it's a vagina or penis..my son knows that it's his penis and that girls have a vagina..those body parts and sex are part of nature..you can educate your kids on them both in a clean safe maner without turing it into something dirty that's unheard of...sorry for the rant just my 2cents lol

Then the mother's wonder where they went wrong with their children........

It's sad that you have to use this method to get answers your mom should be talking to you about. With girls as young as 10 getting pregnant it is a shame you don't know.

I did not find out where babies REALLY came from until I was 14 and my DAD talked to me about it 'cause my mom thought I was too young to know. My dad had a nanny who was 15 and had a 2 year old so he made sure to tell me all about it and as of today (28) I'm very glad he told me.

Ok, here we go.....and pay attention....

To make a baby you need a sperm cell and an egg cell. The sperm cell comes from the daddy and the egg cell comes from the mommy. When the sperm and egg meet, they make a tiny baby that is smaller than a grain of salt. The baby grows in the mommy's tummy for nine months. Then the baby is ready to come out.

When you grow up you will understand that concept a little better. For now, I'll just tell you when the mommy is ready to give birth, her vagina expands (this only happens when women are pregnant), it hurts a lot but that is where the babies come from. After the whole baby is out it doesn't really hurt as bad and gradually the vagina gets back to it's normal size.

The parents prayed for a baby because they were lonely & before long a baby would just appear in the mommies stomach.

To get the baby out.....they would cut around the mommies belly & use the navel to lift the lid off and the baby out pop-out.

I'm too ashamed to tell how long I believed this. LOL

I was told the truth from an early age but my younger sis (by 2 years) was very naive and gullible and never thought to question the stork story until she was 12!

I used to think babies pop up randomly inside the mommies and never thought about how a baby would come out.

My mam told me that I just got there after her and dad got married. Any when I was born I came from her tummy....She got off lightly really as she had a C section with me and my sisters, so she didn't have to lie much!

I used to think it was a tumor that kind of developed into a person.

When I was small, my mom had cancer and a hystorectomy that didn't become a baby.

I figured it out when I was 6 where they really come from...

Both of my parents worked at the Hospital, my Mom a nurse and my Dad an OB Tech of all things, so they were always honest with me from the get go. My parents are also old hippies, so sugar coating things is really not in their nature and I love them for it
