When I was young, I used to wake my mom up every morning on my birthday, and say, "Congratulations. It's a boy!" *L*

Send him or her a card that says, "It's a Girl/Boy!"
First, your friend will be confused thinking that you're pregnant.
Then s/he'll notice that you actually sent it to recognize their birthday.
Be sure to write the date of their birth on the card.

Say thank you for being your friend, sharing laughters and tears and if you can enclose a couple of photographs of you two together, say at times when you really needed your friend and she was there. I was in the same predicament last month and ended up getting a keyring of a place my friend loves. I love it too and there ... I was real down one day and i had a good cry to her, weeks later it was her turn to have a cry to me there so we both named it the crying place. It means nothing to other people (They don't know what took place there) But it means plenty to us! And you know ... She carries the key ring with her at all times. On the other side of the photograph i got a littlle heart reading " Friendship never age, only grow".

Words for Ur friend---

What they don't understand about birthdays and what they never tell you is that when you're 19, you're also eighteen, seventeen, sixteen, fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve, eleven, ten, and nine, and eight, and seven, and six, and five, and four, and three, and two, and one.
Enjoy every good moment of ur life today!

If you haven't seen them in a while, ask what they've been up to and give a brief account of what you've been doing.
Or you could remind them of some of the fun times you've shared or something like that. Try to make it more personal.
